The Senior Configuration Analyst is responsible for the Configuration Management (CM) and related activities for all Oshkosh Defense vehicle systems as required by various government contracts. This role will have the responsibility for capacity planning, recruiting, training, and delegating tasks. This individual will be an expert in the change management processes and will support executing all requirements across multiple programs. YOUR IMPACT Hire, train and supervise Configuration Management department personnel. Liaise with other CM groups in Oshkosh Defense to coordinate solutions as needed. Ensure accurate tracking records are kept, and be responsible for all ECP impact analyses for various Government contractual submittals, Class-I changes, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s), Configuration Change Documents (CCD’s), Request for Deviations (RFD’s), Request for Waivers (RFW’s, if applicable), and others as required. Coordinate with Government customers on all Configuration Management questions and issues. Research and resolve issues generated by Change Notice (CN) activity. Responsible for all CM Status Accounting Record logs, per contract requirements. Maintain and enforce Configuration Management policies and processes that produce sound methods for tracking released engineering and service changes to promote valid reporting of configuration controlled data. Lead and teach CM personnel, develop and maintain Configuration Management goals to enhance CM and overall company capabilities. Responsible for development and maintaining of Configuration Management plans per government contract requirements. Responsible for quoting and writing proposal Basis of Estimates (BOE’s). Develop CM plans per government contract requirements. Responsible for the preparation of Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) Plans. Gather and compile the documentation required for the Physical Configuration Audit (PCA). Responsible for the preparation, review, delivery and tracking of revisions to Technical Data Packages (TDP’s) as required by Configuration Management for Government contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5-plus years’ experience in related field
  • Advanced Excel experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in technical field such as math or engineering
  • Able to proactively solve problems & meet established deadlines/contract deliverables
  • Windchill experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent with JDE and Windchill.
  • Able to read and understand Windchill change reports
  • Able to obtain secret security clearance as required by job duties
  • Familiar with DoD contracts and the government contracting process
  • Able to read and comprehend engineering change notices
  • Able to communicate effectively and diplomatically with customers & other departments within the company
  • Well organized and able to keep accurate status reports
