About the Role & Team Disney Digital Entertainment, a division of Disney Experiences, is embarking on a mission to create the ‘digital front door’ for The Walt Disney Company, bringing all of the magic of Disney together into a new interactive universe! We are building an expert development team that will be building a groundbreaking game experience that will herald the next generation of Disney to the world. Working with top-class industry talent, this role is perfect for the seasoned Senior Concept Artist looking to create something epic - collaborating with an incredible group of game developers focusing on individual experiences to build a wonderfully rich and cohesive product that is truly “Disney”. We are looking for a uniquely talented Senior Concept Artist to join us on a daring and exciting new project. Requirements

• 5 years of game development experience, including holding a position of Concept Artist for at least 3 years
• Possess strong creative vision, an excellent eye for artistic quality and solid knowledge of current game development techniques used to achieve specific visual targets.
• Excel at environmental design, including lighting, composition, staging, and architecture.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of human and creature anatomy, as well as character and costume design.
• Enjoy working in a diverse range of styles, from photo realistic to highly stylized.
• Know how and when to work quickly, and when to pursue final shipping detail and quality.
• Enjoy creative problem-solving and building something new and innovative.
• Value building and being part of an inclusive and positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with artists, designers, and other disciplines to create engaging, inspiring and appealing character, environment, gameplay concepts based on Disney’s robust portfolio of characters and worlds including Disney/Pixar, 20th Century, Marvel and Star Wars.
• Engage with art directors and other internal and external partners to create visual consistency and quality across the entire experience.
• Balance time, iteration and detail, working from thumbnails and sketches to finished illustrations and images.
• Help create visual guides, storyboards, production callouts, color scripts and other reference materials.
• Serve as a key member of a growing game development team at Disney, providing visual inspiration to internal and external stakeholders.
