The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Computing Architect to join the team in Dallas, TX; Hazelwood, MO; Plano, TX; Renton, WA; Seattle, WA; Kent, WA; Everett, WA; or Ridley Park, PA. You will lead the architecture and design of end-to-end computing solutions for Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) product portfolios and integration initiatives, designing scalable, secure systems that support space and occupancy, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Automation Systems and Operational Technology (BAS/OT), parts and inventory management, and project management. You will also oversee Building Information Modeling (BIM) and drawings, data warehousing, and analytics, and partner closely with Product Management, User Experience (UX), Engineering, Data, Security, and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery, operational reliability, and long-term maintainability of GREF solutions.

  • Define solution architectures that meet functional needs, non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, security, performance), and enterprise standards.
  • Produce architecture artifacts: integration diagrams, Application Programming Interface (API) contracts, data models, sequence flows, deployment topologies, and solution decision records.
  • Lead design and delivery of cross-system integrations (e.g., Corrigo ↔ Zeus, Procore ↔ Ariba, Serra view ↔ data lake), including data mapping, reconciliation strategies, error handling.
  • Recommend synchronous vs asynchronous patterns, middleware or event streaming, and API gateway/Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns as appropriate.
  • Act as technical owner in all phases including Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy and Run, define Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, guide code reviews, and set engineering practices (automated testing, observability).
  • Mentor developers, Functional Analysts, Development Operations (DevOps), and junior architects on design patterns, test automation, and secure coding.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define canonical data models for assets, locations, leases, work orders, parts, and drawings.
  • Define Extract Transform Load/Enterprise Landscape Transformation (ETL/ELT) approaches, data quality rules, master data management strategy, and data lineage for the GREF data warehouse.
  • Design secure, vendor-neutral approaches for connecting BAS/OT systems and edge devices (Envio, Iconics, Brainbox) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), including protocol translation, telemetry ingestion, and edge processing patterns.
  • Identify strategies for device lifecycle management, firmware/patching workflows, and OT/IT network segmentation compliant with security policy.
  • Ensure solutions comply with Boeing security, identity, data residency, and regulatory requirements. Specify encryption, IAM, SSO, and audit/logging controls.
  • Work with Security/Compliance and enterprise architects to conduct threat modeling and security reviews.
  • Evaluate vendor architecture, lead technical onboarding, and validate vendor deliverables against architecture and integration contracts.
  • Define Service Level Agreement (SLAs), runbooks, and operational acceptance criteria for vendor-hosted Software such as SaaS and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) tools.
  • Design for observability (metrics, logging, distributed traces), incident response playbooks, recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), and automated health checks.
  • Drive runbook and automation creation so GREF operations teams can manage and support systems with predictable SLAs.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 10+ years of experience with Operational Technology.
  • 10+ years of experience with SaaS architecture and with cloud-based solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience in system engineering (e.g. Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements or Test).
  • Experience in facilities management, corporate real estate systems, construction/project systems, or industrial OT environments.
  • Experience with Corrigo, Maximo, Procore, Serraview, CoStar, SDI/Zeus, Iconics, Envio, Brainbox AI, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with protocols and technologies common to BAS/OT (BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT) and IoT device management.
  • Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka), middleware, or ESB products.
  • Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) including serverless patterns and managed services for data processing.
  • Experience with lease accounting and asset financial models (ASC 842/IFRS 16) to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Relevant certifications: The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other security/architecture credentials.
  • Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.
  • Health insurance.
  • Flexible spending accounts.
  • Health savings accounts.
  • Retirement savings plans.
  • Life and disability insurance programs.
  • Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
