We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our trinamiX brand group within the BASF team, located in Austin, TX. trinamiX, a brand of BASF, is expanding into the United States to develop innovative solutions that unlock previously undiscovered opportunities. As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you contribute to the advancement of trinamiX 3D algorithms, support prototype development for demonstration purposes in the domains of driver monitoring systems and face authentication technologies.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience with stereo vision or structured light systems.
• Possess hands-on experience implementing image processing algorithms on DSP, NPU, or GPU.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of general image processing techniques, including segmentation and object detection.
• Are familiar with machine learning principles as they apply to computer vision.
• Possess proficient in Python and C++.

Responsibilities

• Executing intrinsic and extrinsic calibration procedures.
• Visualizing and manipulating 3D point clouds.
• Optimizing computer vision pipelines for edge devices, specifically targeting NPU, DSP, and GPU architectures.
• Assisting the team with 2D image processing tasks, including face recognition and object detection.
