About The Position

The position involves reviewing and updating logical network topologies to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. The role requires designing and implementing VLANs to segment traffic securely, creating and maintaining firewall policies, managing and analyzing firewall rulesets, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The candidate will also be responsible for configuring routing protocols, managing IP address space, and implementing network analyzing tools. Additionally, the role includes setting up logical redundancy for critical services, managing NAC systems, and implementing network virtualization technologies.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in network architecture, design, and implementation.
• Proven expertise in managing and employing systems across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

Nice To Haves

• A current CISCO™ Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is preferred.
• ASWS Certified solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect or similar certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Review and update logical network topologies to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Create and maintain firewall policies to ensure secure communication between different customer network segments and external partners.
• Manage and analyze firewall policies and rulesets.
• Configure and optimize routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) to ensure network efficiency and high availability.
• Manage the Customer’s IP address space, ensuring proper subnetting and allocation of addresses across the network.
• Analyze logical security policies and ensure compliance with customer security protocols.
• Set up and configure network analyzing tools (e.g., NetFlow, SNMP) to analyze traffic patterns and detect anomalies.
• Implement logical redundancy for critical services, ensuring that key applications remain operational during network outages.
• Implement and manage NAC systems to ensure only authorized devices can access the customer internal network.
• Implement and maintain network virtualization technologies, such as VLANs and VRFs.
