As a Senior Component Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the programmatic oversight and guidance to the selection, development, evaluation, qualification, production, and procurement of electronic parts.

Requirements

  • Experience working with electronic parts, circuit card assemblies, radiation hardened testing, and parts acceptance requirements
  • Experience working with evolving requirements involving cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Requires a bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Requires 5-7 years experience in quality engineering or other engineering role

  • Expert knowledge and skills in process integration

Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise foundational program documentation (such as Parts Management Plan, Device Evaluation Testing Plan, Qualification Plan, Lot Acceptance, etc.)
  • Identify key deliverables and dependencies, identify risks and opportunities, ensure plans are in place to meet program milestones, and make needed technical and quality related decisions
  • Independently drive solutions to complex problems - develop requirements, propose ways forward when requirements are unclear or incomplete, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements
  • Establish and maintain process for a common parts library
  • Interface and coordinate decisions from various stakeholders including but not limited to designers, component engineers, procurement agencies, to assess enabling technologies and the selection of parts
  • Maintain the Approved Parts List and associated interface with Design Environment Infrastructure
  • Coordinate Supply Chain Management requirements, including Program Protection
  • Contribute to the development of Procurement Plans/Strategies
  • Contribute to the establishment of supplier quality requirements and conduct supplier evaluations and supply chain risk management assessments
  • Contribute to establishment of part specification requirements and associated templates
  • Define prototype acceptance requirements, production quality levels, production traceability requirements, production acceptance approach
