About The Position

The Senior Compliance Manager plays a key leadership role within Sonova Group's Global Compliance & Ethics organization. This position leads and strengthens the healthcare and business compliance program across the AME region, with a primary focus on the United States, while supporting global compliance initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, this individual ensures Sonova operates with integrity, transparency, and compliance across its diverse business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Life Sciences, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • 8-10 years of compliance experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sector.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare compliance laws and global anti-bribery frameworks.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, policy development, due diligence, compliance monitoring, and investigations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and provide practical, risk-balanced compliance guidance.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and project management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance tools (SharePoint, LMS, etc.).
  • A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance the compliance framework for the U.S. and AME region in alignment with Sonova's global strategy.
  • Implement and monitor compliance controls across medical device, retail, wholesale, and consumer channels.
  • Advise on key healthcare compliance laws and regulations including the Anti-Kickback Statute, FCPA, False Claims Act, and Sunshine Act.
  • Review and approve grants, donations, and transfers of value as a member of the Grants and Donations Committee.
  • Support internal and external audits, due diligence, and risk-based monitoring of third parties.
  • Lead and contribute to global policy development, risk assessments, investigations, and training programs.
  • Act as a compliance advisor to business leadership, supporting ethical decision-making and risk-based planning.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence to embed compliance into business processes.
  • Design and deliver impactful training and communication strategies to promote a strong culture of integrity.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry developments (e.g., MedTech Europe Code, AdvaMed, UK Bribery Act) and assess business impact.
