About The Position

Eversource is looking for a Senior Compliance Field Engineer in Berlin, CT, Westwood, MA, Springfield, MA, Manchester/Hookset NH to support Transmission Compliance. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing activities associated with the development and management of Compliance activities related to the cyber-security, physical security, and maintenance of the Bulk Electric System. These activities include, but are not limited to developing and leading assessments, audits, and reviews of existing compliance, identification of performance gaps; facilitating the determination of improvement actions and tracking them through completion. Individual will work closely with the Operations staff to ensure compliance and implement process improvements. In addition, individual will track changes to applicable standards as they are approved by regulatory authorities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years related experience is required.
  • Ability to independently develop, present and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments.
  • Possess and apply the fundamental engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in technical and analytical competencies necessary to handle assignments of increasing complexity.
  • Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.
  • Engineering design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage activities associated with the development and management of Compliance activities related to the cyber-security, physical security, and maintenance of the Bulk Electric System.
  • Develop and lead assessments, audits, and reviews of existing compliance.
  • Identify performance gaps and facilitate the determination of improvement actions, tracking them through completion.
  • Work closely with the Operations staff to ensure compliance and implement process improvements.
  • Track changes to applicable standards as they are approved by regulatory authorities.
  • Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity.
  • Ensure accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches related to defined problems and analysis of increasing scope and complexity.
  • Conduct engineering and related studies; complete non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight with the ability to independently manage project schedules and interfaces.
  • Develop positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Support the company's goals and represent the company positively and professionally.
  • Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs as part of an Emergency Restoration assignment, potentially outside of normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
