First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join the team in our Human Resources Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business, or related field; and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with a strong focus on compensation, payroll, or related areas, or combination of equivalent education and experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Excel required, including development of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables and lookups.
  • Precision in handling and analyzing large data sets.
  • Ability to assess complex compensation issues and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong consultative skills to act as a trusted advisor on compensation-related decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple compensation projects and deadlines with high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential, highly sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance and make recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP or similar-certification preferred.
  • Financial services industry experience highly desirable.
  • Experience in administering incentive programs highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft or other HR system highly recommended.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to balance organizational needs with employee satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated to work collaboratively as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Compensation Manager to design, administer and govern the Bank's compensation programs and practices including incentive compensation, base salary and deferred compensation.
  • Lead the Bank's performance management and salary review process.
  • Support executive compensation programs in collaboration with the Compensation Manager.
