About The Position

Are you an experienced program management professional interested in playing a pivotal operational role and making a real impact? Strategic Management Services Corporation (SMS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Community Programs to lead the planning, execution, and oversight of significant initiatives in areas such as community engagement, capacity building, and/or social well-being. This role is part of the Program Management Team within the Centers of Excellence. This position manages the full scope of program implementation services tailored to network entities and community partners, ensuring programs are community-driven, align with Network strategy, and contribute to scaling impact and building collective power. This position is vital for advancing BCZ CDC's mission and maximizing its mission impact. WHAT YOU'LL DO As Senior Program Manager, Community Programs, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of program functions, ensuring alignment with Network strategy and measurable community outcomes.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or a related senior operational role is required.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in program implementation and management services (planning, execution, monitoring) is required. Experience in providing technical assistance and capacity building to community-based organizations is essential.
  • Abilities: You must have the ability to develop standardized frameworks and processes for program delivery. Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills are required. Proficiency in Google Workspace, operational software, and grant compliance/reporting is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent professional program certification. Certification in non-profit fiscal management or capacity building is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Programs Directly: Implements programs directly, providing a full spectrum of program management services and managing all aspects of program implementation (planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation).
  • Collaborate and Design: Collaborates with "clients" (affiliates or external entities) to design and implement programs tailored to their needs.
  • Integrate Capacity Building: Integrates capacity-building guidance (organizational development, fundraising) into the program delivery process for community partners.
  • Manage Staff: Manages the dedicated Program Management Team (assistants, coordinators) within the CICB that executes diverse initiatives.
  • Ensure Strategic Alignment: Ensures programs align with the network's strategic goals and achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Engage Specialists: Engages expert specialists, as required by each program, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Operational Duties: Performing other operational duties as needed to support Network functions.
