About The Position

If you are an experienced Procurement or Supply Chain Professional, looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our US or Mexico locations, you will develop commodity strategies for Capital projects. This role includes managing category strategies across all Copeland locations globally, controlling costs and identifying new savings opportunities, ensuring supplier performance, as well as aligning procurement activities with the overall business objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Global Procurement Manager – Capital & Energy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related areas.
  • Experience acquiring capital assets and developing OEM and Integration suppliers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, supplier relationship management and supply chain technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to Copeland locations/suppliers domestically and globally occasionally.

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Capital Commodity Management.
  • Experience sourcing and procuring energy in a deregulated environment.
  • Technically proficient in reading architectural and mechanical drawings and writing detailed scopes of work.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills, capable of articulating data into executive-level summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for capital and energy procurement, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder priorities.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including e-sourcing, RFI, RFP, RFQ and negotiation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support capital procurement, develop and execute spending strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Track and report on sourcing pipeline and savings initiatives.
  • Manage, maintain and update supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular business and performance reviews.
  • Communicate effectively, lead meetings, make presentations, and maintain professionalism by using core competencies and company values.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal, ethical and risk requirements.
