Great American Professional Risk Insurance Services (GAPRIS) provides specialized umbrella and excess liability coverages for medium to large-size companies in need of high coverage limits for casualty exposures by utilizing the varied capabilities within the Great American Insurance Group. We are looking for a Senior Commercial Lines Representative in our Charlotte, NC office. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Generally, a minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, preferably in a brokerage or agency setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and use of standard office software.
  • Property & casualty insurance license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned groups of large or moderately complex commercial lines accounts, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Manages day-to-day complex client needs including policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims support.
  • Coordinates with Account Managers and Producers to prepare renewals, proposals, and coverage summaries.
  • Maintains strong relationships with clients by providing responsive, knowledgeable, and solutions-oriented service.
  • Collaborates with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, resolve issues, and process endorsements.
  • Ensures data integrity, overseeing accurate maintenance of client records in the agency management system.
  • Drives account retention and growth, proactively managing renewals and supporting seamless client onboarding and account setup and documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
