About The Position

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager will provide essential support to the commercial team during annual customer negotiations, focusing on building P&Ls to assess the volume and financial impact of price increases, changes in funding levels, and new listings. This role involves updating financial models based on customer feedback and conducting 'what if' analyses. The manager will also support promotional analysis and key reports, including rolling forecasts, R&Os, and various ad-hoc requests. A key participant in the S&OP process, the manager will challenge assumptions in pre-DRMs and understand the rationale behind material moves in forecasted volumes. Additionally, the role includes contributing to the delivery of Rolling Forecasts, monitoring and analyzing key variances, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The manager will play a significant role in the monthly BU report, providing insights on brand/customer performance and outlooks, and participating in 'Hot Topic' discussions as needed. The position also involves the continued development of financial planning models and templates, supporting the Revenue Growth agenda within TR Americas, and collaborating with the Head of Commercial Finance on various tasks, including variance analysis and deep dive investigations into emerging trends.

Requirements

  • Degree educated.
  • Prior experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance roles.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and advanced in MS Excel.
  • Well-developed logical, analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A goal driven individual that is both an independent worker and a strong team player.
  • Strong ethical framework, high personal integrity.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Finance.
  • Part-Qualified/Qualified in post-grad finance qualification.
  • Previous experience in business partnering.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Power Pivots, XL Cube.
  • Systems: Hyperion and Essbase.
  • Exposure to multiple currency environment.
  • Preferred background in FMCG Retail.
  • Desirable background in Drinks industry and Travel Retail.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivery of the Rolling Forecasts, Risk & Ops and monitor/analyze key variances, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Key contributor to monthly BU report, including comments on brand/customer performance and outlooks.
  • Participate in 'Hot Topic' on an Ad-hoc basis.
  • Continued development of models and templates to ensure robust financial planning.
  • Support Revenue Growth agenda within TR Americas.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Finance across various tasks, including variance analysis and leading 'deep dive' investigations.
  • Collaboration with commercial finance team members TR Americas and Europe across various tasks, projects and initiatives.
