About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst position provides an opportunity to play a critical role in supporting decisions made by the Rigid Packaging Solutions – North American Beverage senior management team through financial analysis, modeling, planning activities and Business Unit project support. The exposure this role provides will build a strong foundation for larger and broader responsibilities within Amcor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance
  • 3+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in a financial analysis role
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Strong problem solving / analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be an effective team player in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple, complex projects at rapid pace

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the determination of pricing recommendations for new business opportunities utilizing: Next Best Alternative (NBA) Analysis, Competitive Market Analysis, Detailed resin pricing analysis, Detailed cost to produce (CTP) Analysis, Capital Investment Analysis
  • Help drive profitability growth through activities such as: Variance analysis, Profit leakage analysis, Cost and operational complexity analysis, Pricing impact analysis
  • Assist with the creation of Capital Expense Approval Voucher (CEAV) requests.
  • Leverage available tools (SAP, Power BI, Line Costing, Pocket Margin Database) for opportunity analysis, data mining, and customer/product profitability improvement plans.
  • Assist in the development of business unit strategic plan and budget.
  • As requested, assist with the following activities: 1) Competitive Intelligence analysis; 2) Value Preservation Strategy; 3) Disruptive technology analysis; 4) Value proposition of competing technologies and packaging options; 5) Value Propositions and cost analysis for new products, manufacturing processes, or materials.
  • Provide financial analytical support to the Marketing group for: 1) New product development, 2) Value propositions for innovation projects and emerging technologies and 3) New market development.
  • Assist with plant, technology, or customer deep dives.
  • Develop financial models.
  • Drive continuous improvements in processes and communication.
  • Assist with preparation of accurate and timely month-end analysis, reports and PowerPoint slides for Monthly Management Report, Monthly Business Review and Quarterly Business Review preparation
  • Support preparation of post capital expenditure reviews (“PCR’s”)
  • Analyze manufacturing profitability and costs-to-produce (SKU, product line, family, segment, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Shared Services and IT to drive enhancements within financial systems.
