About the position

F&M Trust is looking to hire a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to round out the Credit Department team. The successful candidate will have the option of a hybrid work from home arrangement paired with a home office located at either our Corporate location in Chambersburg, PA, or regional headquarters located in Harrisburg, PA. This Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and determining the credit risks of commercial credits of high dollar and complexity through detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral valuation, cash flow analysis, and the ability to repay annual debt service. The typical size of individual deals and/or aggregate relationships will normally fall within the $5-30MM range and be primarily comprised of commercial real estate (CRE) including land development, residential apartment construction, multi-family homes, hotels, and strip centers; experience with C&I lending and/or government/fund accounting is a bonus. Seasoned credit analysts can also flex their leadership skills by mentoring more junior credit analysts within the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and determine the credit risks of commercial credits of high dollar and complexity.
  • Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral valuation, and cash flow analysis.
  • Assess the ability to repay annual debt service.
  • Handle individual deals and/or aggregate relationships typically within the $5-30MM range.
  • Work primarily with commercial real estate (CRE) including land development, residential apartment construction, multi-family homes, hotels, and strip centers.
  • Mentor junior credit analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or economics.
  • Five (5) or more years of current or very recent commercial credit underwriting experience.
  • Ability to identify and analyze trends, strengths, and risks in financials, industries, and geographies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with C&I lending.
  • Experience with government/fund accounting.
