About The Position

About the Role: We at Taktile are seeking our first US-based Legal hire. As (Senior) Commercial Counsel, you will be the primary legal architect for our North and South American operations. You will sit at the intersection of law, sales, and product, ensuring our agentic decision platform scales safely and rapidly. This is a "player-coach" role: you will draft the contracts today while building the legal operations that will support the company for years to come. This role reports into our CFO.

Requirements

• Qualified: JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Experienced: 5+ years of experience in tech transactions, with significant time spent in-house at a high-growth SaaS or Fintech company.

• Systems Thinker: You don't just want to review redlines; you want to implement a CLM and automate the 80% so you can focus on the strategic 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Deal: Own the end-to-end sales contract lifecycle for the Americas. Draft and negotiate high-stakes MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs and NDAs with sophisticated fintechs and global banks.
• Build the Machine: As the first US legal hire, you will design and implement Taktile’s US sales-legal workflow. This includes creating playbooks, fallback positions, and "self-service" tools for our GTM team.
• Partnership Expansion: Lead legal strategy for our burgeoning reseller and partner ecosystem, ensuring our indirect sales channels are robust and compliant.
• Vendor & Procurement: Review and negotiate key vendor and technology agreements.
• Regulatory Landscape: Advise on US privacy laws, AI and automated decision-making regulations, financial services requirements (FCRA, ECOA, GLBA, AML/BSA, UDAP/UDAAP), and data security standards as they impact Taktile's platform and customer contracts.
• Bridge the Atlantic: Coordinate with our German HQ (Taktile GmbH) regarding IP licensing and intercompany agreements under the Taktile Holding umbrella.
