About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sr. Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Development team. This role provides critical support to our Sales, Proposal Management, and Finance departments by delivering actionable insights and data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in driving strategic decisions through financial and commercial analysis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree required (BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance); In the absence of a degree, a minimum of five years of relevant work experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of direct finance experience; CRO industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong background in financial analysis and commercial reporting.
  • Experience working with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., algorithms, macros, pivot tables).
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Exceptional math proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, drive results, and pursue process excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and analysis of commercial data to support budgeting and backlog forecasting.
  • Execute and track sales compensation plans, including quarterly and annual commission payouts.
  • Develop tools and utilize systems to enhance visibility into business performance.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support senior management decision-making.
  • Provide ongoing analytical support to Sales, Proposal Management, and Finance teams.
  • Support global Sales with periodic reporting and presentations, including: Bi-weekly Executive Sales reports, Monthly Analytics Dashboards, Weekly Contracts Reports.
  • Recommend improvements to reporting tools and systems to optimize data flow and performance metrics.
  • Perform month-end closing tasks, ensuring accurate order capture and reporting.
  • Contribute to integration efforts across laboratories to streamline commercial operations.
