About The Position

The United States Space Force is building a resilient, integrated, and agile command and control (C2) enterprise capable of synchronizing operations across space, air, cyber, and joint domains. We are seeking a highly seasoned Senior C2 Integration Lead to support advanced operational planning, mission integration, and C2 architecture development for Space Force initiatives—including MILNET modernization, proliferated LEO (pLEO) transport integration, and hybrid space-to-ground mission‑and‑control (C2) enterprise capable of synchronizing operations across space, air, cyber, and joint domains. We are seeking a highly seasoned ground mission execution. This role is ideal for a senior operational leader with deep joint and combined C2 experience, strong technical literacy in space mission systems, and a proven ability to translate operational needs into executable architectures. A background with demonstrated tactical and operational C2 experience, data link and communications architectures, and operational leadership—is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of operational C2, Joint and/or Combined operations, or space mission experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Joint and/or Combines C2 systems, operational planning, and cross domain integration.
  • Strong understanding of space operations, resilient communications & data links, and contested environment mission execution.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • USAF Weapons School / Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center TOPDOME Graduate (operational instructor background).
  • Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) Certification
  • Prior experience with Space Force C2 programs, SDA transport layer integration, or MILNET modernization/implementation
  • Familiarity with CJADC2, DAF Battle Network, or similar Joint C2 modernization efforts.
  • Experience with pLEO architectures, resilient comms, and hybrid space-to-ground mission systems.
  • Experience supporting senior O-6/SES level decision-making and operational planning.
  • Willingness to work in an on-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational C2 planning and integration for Space Force programs involving MILNET, pLEO transport layers, and resilient space-to-ground mission architectures.
  • Translate operational requirements into actionable system needs, mission threads, and CONOPS.
  • Support development of C2 architectures that enable real-time decision-making, cross domain synchronization, and resilient operations in contested environments, time decision‑making, cross‑domain synchronization, and resilient operations in contested environments.
  • Advise senior leaders on operational impacts, risk posture, and mission readiness.
  • Develop mission threads, kill chains, and operational workflows that integrate space, cyber, and joint effects.
  • Support exercises, wargames, and operational demonstrations to validate C2 concepts and inform capability development.
  • Provide tactical and operational insight into system design, data flows, and decision support tools.
  • Partner with acquisition teams to ensure operational requirements are accurately captured, prioritized, and integrated into system development.
  • Review contractor proposals, technical approaches, and system architectures for operational suitability and mission alignment.
  • Support development of requirements documents, CONOPS, TTPs, and transition plans to operational units.
  • Coordinate across Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Development Agency (SDA), Combatant Commands, and Joint partners.
  • Serve as a trusted operational advisor to O-6/SES level leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver high impact briefings, operational assessments, and decision support materials.
  • Contribute to the development of USSF C2 doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Mentor junior operators, analysts, and mission planners.
  • Support integration of new capabilities into operational units and training pipelines.
