About The Position

Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, MA, with over 2,000 employees. The Senior College Recruitment Specialist leads Draper's internship and cooperative programs, aiming to establish the company as an employer of choice among colleges and universities. This role involves interacting with college professionals and faculty, as well as partnering with hiring managers and recruiting teams to build best practices and set a strategic approach for attracting and hiring future top talent. The position is on-site in Cambridge, MA, three days a week and requires the ability to travel up to 50%.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of employment/labor laws, as well as HR policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency using MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize independently.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player with a results driven approach.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Human Resources or related field of study.
  • 2 years supporting a human resources department or relevant experience.
  • 2+years of recruiting experience.
  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a strategy for annual campus recruitment efforts to meet the business objectives for student hiring of interns and co-ops.
  • Partner with functional and business area leaders to strategize on hiring goals to address future recruiting requirements.
  • Lead full life cycle sourcing and recruiting efforts for student employees in both technical and non-technical roles.
  • Develop, foster and grow relationships with universities to attract and recruit highly skilled college students for internship and cooperative employment.
  • Primary liaison with Draper Tier 1 and Tier 2 Universities to promote Draper as an employer of choice and develop student pipelines.
  • Plan, attend and organize all logistics for student events (campus career fairs, interview days, tech talks, etc) as well as attendance at career fair events.
  • Partner with HR Operations to process and onboard students.
  • Create student activities and programs during peak season for students to acclimate, network and become part of Draper’s internal organization.
