As a CNC Machinist at Archer's R&D facility, you will be responsible for programming and operating multi-axis CNC machines. Your role will involve machining composite parts, foam masters, and assembly jigs. You will own the CNC portion of the shop, which includes organizing the area, maintaining equipment, and managing the purchase and inventory of tools and consumables necessary for operational efficiency. Additionally, you will provide feedback to manufacturing engineering regarding tooling and fixturing design, drive tooling strategies and fixture development for prototype builds, and offer solutions to technical manufacturing problems. You will also perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic measuring tools and support engineering activities such as prototype development and process validation. Training technicians on the basics of operating the machines will also be part of your responsibilities.
