As a Senior Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM), you will play a crucial role within the Data and Analytics organization at CVS Health. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and administer Google cloud services that support enterprise cloud applications. This position requires you to provide essential support to data engineers and end users, ensuring the smooth operation of GCP cloud services. You will collaborate closely with enterprise security and cloud platform teams to ensure compliance with all enterprise policies and standards. In this role, you will deploy and manage GCP resources and services that are integral to data engineering applications. You will configure and support the cloud infrastructure necessary for advanced data pipelines, facilitating both batch and real-time data streams. This will enable effective data collection, storage, processing, transformation, aggregation, and dissemination through various channels. A critical aspect of your job will involve reviewing solution designs prior to deployment to ensure adherence to best practices and alignment with security policies and enterprise standards. You will also be responsible for managing data traffic for workloads, which includes capacity planning, cloud cost forecasting, managing quotas and rate limits, monitoring resource utilization, and implementing auto-scaling and benchmarking strategies. Additionally, you will research new technologies to support the development of proof-of-concept solutions for batch and real-time data engineering that leverage emerging technologies. Monitoring and optimizing cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with identifying and troubleshooting any infrastructure and application deployment issues that may arise.
