About The Position

TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect. This is a direct hire role based in Madison, WI (hybrid) with our premier client. The reason this position exists is to lead enterprise and solution architecture efforts that align business strategy with modern, secure, and scalable technology platforms, supporting large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or architecture certifications strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise and solution architecture, ideally within financial services or investment management environments
• Proven expertise connecting business strategy to architecture across application, data, technology, and business domains
• Deep knowledge of modern architecture patterns including microservices, API-first, event-driven systems, and zero-trust security models
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and hybrid/multi-cloud architectures, including Kubernetes, service meshes, and IaC
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and align cross-functional teams and senior leadership
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and modeling frameworks (ArchiMate, BizzDesign, OpenSearch, or similar)
• Exposure to real-time data processing and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event sourcing architectures
• Cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for large-scale strategic initiatives, providing end-to-end architectural oversight from concept through implementation
• Design, review, and validate architecture and design documents to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and scalability goals
• Define and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks, blueprints, and roadmaps aligned to long-term modernization strategy
• Build and contribute code including microservices, infrastructure-as-code templates, automation scripts, and platform accelerators
• Guide cloud platform strategy, legacy system modernization, and adoption of emerging technologies
• Partner with business, data, and technology leaders to deliver integrated, resilient, multi-region cloud solutions
• Mentor engineers, architects, and technical leads on design best practices and emerging architectural patterns
• Govern architecture standards, reference models, reusable patterns, and tools across the technology organization
• Lead architecture reviews and contribute to enterprise initiatives including platform rationalization, infrastructure modernization, and data architecture improvements
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and enterprise resilience initiatives
• Serve as a strategic advisor for architecture governance, technology investment prioritization, and portfolio planning
