About The Position
The Senior Cloud Computing Engineer (Sr CCE) at AMN Healthcare plays a pivotal role in architecting, building, configuring, deploying, and supporting the company's public cloud computing infrastructure, primarily in Azure and AWS. This position requires a deep understanding of virtualization, public cloud products, services, and applications. The Sr CCE will apply advanced technical knowledge to ensure that the cloud environment meets current and future organizational needs, supporting all server operating systems, networking, directory services, backup solutions, and cloud-native PaaS applications. The role demands a high level of judgment and analysis in evaluating, selecting, designing, configuring, and maintaining application platforms hosted in Azure and AWS. In addition to technical expertise, the Sr CCE is responsible for ongoing process improvements, creating enterprise governance, and applying best practices to meet business, security, cost, and agility requirements. The position supports large-scale systems that are critical to the business, requiring the engineer to monitor and evaluate operating efficiency, server performance, bandwidth usage, and error logs to identify and resolve issues proactively. The Sr CCE will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business units, IT associates, and external vendors, to ensure the smooth operation of software and systems necessary for achieving business objectives. The role also involves capacity planning, establishing procedures for efficient infrastructure management, and leading technical projects. The Sr CCE will be expected to maintain awareness of new developments in technology, provide technical support to staff, and create custom scripts for deployment and monitoring. This position is integral to the success of AMN Healthcare's cloud strategy and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
