About The Position

Join the Global Cloud Services organization and manage Public Cloud Cost & Usage governance team. This role will be responsible for establishing long range plan and monthly forecast of public cloud cost & usage, identifying and tracking optimization opportunities, working closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient resource usage and working with sales team on customer migration planning and tracking. This role will also handle commit-based-discount coverage & utilization, cost & usage tool dashboarding.

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, IT, Cloud Computing, or Business); or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure (experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers is a strong plus)
  • Knowledge of cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Google Cloud Billing, CloudHealth, Cloudability)
  • Experience in financial forecasting & budgeting
  • Full professional proficiency in English (mandatory)

Nice To Haves

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across AWS, GCP and Azure
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement cost-effective cloud solutions
  • Develop and maintain cloud cost forecasting models
  • Manage commit-based-discounts to optimize long-term costs
  • Provide visibility and insights into cloud expenses through dashboards and reports
  • Implement cost allocations to measure unit-metrics of cost per customer and cost per instance
  • Define and promote best practices for cloud cost governance
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in cost management
  • Work with cloud service providers on demand planning and capacity reservation
  • Collaborate with GTM team on customer migration planning and tracking
