  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies aligned with architectural principles and business requirements.
  • Ensure infrastructure stability, performance, security, and cost optimization through proactive monitoring, patching, and incident management.
  • Partner with security, compliance, and architecture teams to enforce governance policies and implement controls across environments.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to other cloud engineers, contributing to knowledge sharing, training, and technical reviews.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering (preferable Azure), infrastructure, or platform operations.
  • A history of being self-motivated and capable of solving problems with minimal oversight.
  • Deep knowledge across compute storage, database, and containerization services within Azure.
  • Experience in cost optimization and FinOps practices, including managing commitment-based discounts.
  • Expertise in building infrastructure using Terraform or other modern infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise cloud governance, access control, policy enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in a complex platform environment.
  • A focus on reliability, automation, and measurable service outcomes.
  • Obsessed with process/team/individual improvement.
  • Desire to drive a culture of excellence and results.
  • Awareness of on-prem technologies that co-exist in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing alternative cloud solutions in a multi-provider environment.
  • History of leading large-scale platform upgrades, service migrations, or modernization efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale infrastructure to meet growing business demand while managing cost and complexity.
  • Experience working in an enterprise setting with layered architectural governance and security oversight.
  • A people-first collaboration style that supports personal and team growth and development.
  • Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits dependent on the position.
