About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer Manager. In this role, you will be an essential part of the Global IT Infrastructure team, responsible for managing and delivering cloud infrastructure and services in both public and private environments. You will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s cloud adoption strategies by providing technical leadership, promoting standard processes, and driving automation and continuous improvement. Moreover, you will collaborate closely with project teams and act as a key point of contact for operational support, which may also involve managing direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years delivering cloud platform capabilities to a major public cloud provider.
  • 3+ years mentoring and leading team members.
  • Expert understanding of public cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation.
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of solutions based on defined outcomes while incorporating stakeholder feedback throughout.
  • Strong technical expertise in at least one of the major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI).
  • Proven experience delivering and supporting IT and cloud services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing, global environment.
  • Experience with data center and cloud migration, integration, and consolidation.
  • Broad infrastructure background (Linux/Windows) with hands-on cloud and automation experience.
  • Automation skills using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Practical experience building platforms using Kubernetes, EKS, or OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience working with log management tools such as ELK.
  • Understanding of security standard processes for servers, tools, and access controls.
  • Experience creating and managing monitoring subsystems with open-source or commercial tools.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cloud infrastructure and services supporting a wide range of customers.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise to support cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Install, configure, and maintain platforms and systems.
  • Ensure infrastructure services meet agreed SLAs and support business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for project, delivery, and operations teams.
  • Implement proactive security controls, patches, and upgrades using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Maintain the security, availability, and integrity of the hybrid cloud environment.
  • Contribute to the development of cloud service capabilities using DevOps practices.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the cloud roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Solution Designers to ensure platform designs meet current and future requirements.
  • Monitor platform usage and provide capacity and growth forecasts.
  • Share knowledge to support the development of cross-team operational capabilities.
  • Respond to major incidents and participate in on-call support as required.
