About The Position

As a Senior Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) Engineer in the Cloud team, you'll be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to develop our data solution. The main areas of focus will include data ingestion, ML pipelines, log analytics, visualization, predictive analysis, tools etc. You will design, develop and enhance data applications from prototype to production - including integration and processing of large real-time vehicle data.

Requirements

MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
7+ yearsâ¯inâ¯backendâ¯or distributedâ¯systems;â¯3+ yearsâ¯buildingâ¯cloudâ¯microservicesâ¯atâ¯scale.
Strongâ¯Java/Springâ¯Boot; solidâ¯CSâ¯fundamentalsâ¯inâ¯concurrency, networking, andâ¯faultâ¯tolerance.
Hands-onâ¯withâ¯containersâ¯andâ¯cloudâ¯(Docker, Kubernetes; AWS/GCP).
APIâ¯designâ¯withâ¯gRPC/protobufâ¯andâ¯REST; experienceâ¯withâ¯messageâ¯brokers.
Dataâ¯expertiseâ¯withâ¯SQLâ¯andâ¯NoSQL; familiarityâ¯withâ¯Cassandraâ¯dataâ¯modeling.
Securityâ¯foundations: TLS, codesigning/PKI.
Provenâ¯ownershipâ¯ofâ¯production services, on call, andâ¯incidentâ¯response
7+ years of hands-on experience in productionizing platforms and applications.
Experience with graph databases, timeseries, NoSQL etc.
Experience with predictive analysis or recommendation systems.
Experience in building CI/CD framework for the data teams
Experience with Experience in production support and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate FOTA microservices (campaigns, targeting, packaging, rollout/rollback) using Java/Springâ¯Boot onâ¯Kubernetes.
Implementâ¯secureâ¯delivery paths and APIs (gRPC/protobuf and REST) over MQTT/HTTP2; supportâ¯chunking, resume, bandwidth control, and CDN/S3 storage.
Modelâ¯dataâ¯acrossâ¯relationalâ¯stores; integrate queues/streams (Kafka orâ¯MQTT) andâ¯cacheâ¯layersâ¯(Redis).
Instrumentâ¯servicesâ¯forâ¯observabilityâ¯(metrics, tracing, logs) withâ¯clearâ¯SLOs; driveâ¯reliability viaâ¯canary/phasedâ¯rolloutsâ¯andâ¯feature flags.
Collaborateâ¯withâ¯firmware/vehicle, mobile, andâ¯portalâ¯teams; writeâ¯designâ¯docs andâ¯leadâ¯codeâ¯reviewsâ¯andâ¯mentoring.
Automateâ¯withâ¯CI/CDâ¯(Jenkins/Maven/Gradle), comprehensiveâ¯testing, andâ¯runbooks.
