About The Position

As a Cloud Developer, you will own and enhance cloud APIs, build new serverless endpoints, and collaborate closely with offshore developers. This role offers exposure to modern cloud technologies, API development, and innovative deployment strategies using feature toggles—all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment We're a close-knit team that has access to global resources. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S with the client based in Dallas, Texas. travel to Dallas quarterly is required.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in AWS Cloud architecture and best practices.
  • Strong expertise in Java Springboot APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Python for automation and Lambda development.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Kafka streams integration.
  • Excellent communication skills to support offshore team members

Responsibilities

  • Build new API endpoints using AWS Lambda (Python) integrated with other AWS services, other systems, and enterprise Kafka streams.
  • Implement feature toggles to manage rollout and reliability during transitions.
  • Assist offshore developers with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for AWS resources.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources using AWS observability tools (CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other teams in a product model to deliver high-quality solutions
