About The Position

The Cloud Data Engineer will play a crucial role in designing modern data architecture for enterprise-level transformation using advanced cloud architectural principles. This position involves leveraging tools like Snowflake and Databricks, working with DevOps technologies, and developing advanced analytics products to enable key mission outcomes within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. The role is part of Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice, which focuses on delivering impactful solutions to federal, state, and local government clients, as well as public higher education institutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering and architecture experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud analytics (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• 5+ years of experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, on average.

Responsibilities

• Design future-state, modern data architecture for enterprise-level transformation.
• Utilize tools such as Snowflake and Databricks to develop advanced analytics products.
• Apply data and statistical programming tools to enterprise data to advance key mission outcomes.
• Support all phases of analytic work product development, from identifying key business questions to data collection and ETL.
• Perform analyses using statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers.
