About The Position

This role is designed for a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud data solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Senior Cloud Data Engineer will work closely with engineering, migration, and operations teams to build scalable, secure, and automated data pipelines and platforms, primarily leveraging Snowflake and AWS. The position involves both strategic input and practical execution, including process improvements, automation, and ensuring data integrity. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake and AWS
  • Strong proficiency in ETL/ELT frameworks and SQL-based data transformation techniques
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting technical information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, complex environments

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience with at least 3 years at a senior level
  • AI/ML solution implementation experience
  • familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core certification

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based data solutions on AWS with Snowflake as a core platform
  • Implement logical and physical data models and ETL/ELT pipelines to support enterprise-scale workloads
  • Ensure security, integrity, and reliability of cloud systems while maintaining thorough documentation
  • Support automation initiatives using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Collaborate across teams to develop strategies, advise on infrastructure, and troubleshoot escalations
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging cloud services, best practices, and industry standards
  • Compose and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and knowledge articles
