About The Position

Support cloud-based applications and integrations, including the institution’s ERP system. Collaborate with other Information Technology Services teams and functional units to provide new applications, integrations, and analytics. Engage with Business Analysts and other Application Developers to understand requirements and collaborate on effective solutions. Perform programming assignments requiring an aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices. Write clean and reusable code. Participate in the full lifecycle of design, development, testing and deployment of applications. Works closely with and consults stakeholders to design and implement new or enhanced systems, policies and procedures. Develop documentation and training materials. May be responsible for developing, installing and maintaining specified or assigned applications, improving system performance, and troubleshooting issues. May work with departments, programs or units to evaluate needs, system capacity and resources to design and deploy appropriate applications.

Requirements

  • Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in SaaS based application development.
  • Requires expertise with SaaS programming languages and must possess highly developed computer skills including cloud-based software capabilities.
  • Strong project management, problem solving, communication and technical skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday support and Workday Student modules preferred.
  • Experience with higher education environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for various environments with a cloud first approach.
  • Lead the design and development of software systems.
  • Develop and deploy background processes and APIs as cloud services and enable end to end testing.
  • Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team to rapidly deliver software solutions, including pertinent analytics.
  • Maintain and update the existing computer services and program documentation to ensure compliance with department standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external users and software specialists to identify problems, resolve problems and determine future system requirements.
  • Evaluate office and computer processes and procedures to define and solve routine and complex problems.
  • Support and maintain existing applications including feature additions and bug fixes.
  • Research, evaluate and implement cloud native tools and architectures to improve scale and performance.
  • Train and share knowledge with development teams.
  • Take part in design research and help identify opportunities.
  • Identify and implement technical improvements and solutions.
  • Mentor and coach developers.
