The Senior Closer-FHA handles various loan closing and funding tasks, including reviewing and funding mortgage loan documents, interacting with escrow and title companies, and verifying insurance requirements. This role ensures compliance and accuracy while facilitating smooth transactions and resolving any issues that arise. We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will: Review rate lock documentation. Coordinate the commitment, closing, and delivery phases of loans to ensure commitment requirements are met within specified timeframes for optimal execution. Verify receipt and disbursement of all fees according to commitment terms or investor guidelines. Maintain tickler and status files to monitor and track required documentation. Review insurance requirements and, when applicable, coordinate insurance reviews with third-party consultants, assisting the underwriter, Mortgage Banker, or Lender’s counsel in resolving any insurance issues. Request and analyze current real estate tax information. Set up loan funding calculations and prepare account documents, including escrow analysis, property taxes, insurance, reconciliation sheets, and servicing memoranda; ensure accuracy of all related accounting entries and resolve all closing figures with the title company and Mortgage Banker. Coordinate the review of closing statements, draws, and cost certifications by HUD and the Borrower. Request HUD payments using pay.gov. Prepare and submit wire requests for loan funding along with applicable supporting documentation. Balance good faith reconciliation statements in accordance with corporate guidelines. Record loan and closing information in OmniView, the company’s loan system of record. Prepare the closing file for delivery to the New Loan Boarding team, warehouse provider (if applicable), and the Investor or document custodian. Track the delivery of loan documents to the custodian and follow up on the receipt of recorded documents. Collaborate with the Closing Manager-HUD and Managing Director-Closing on process improvement activities. Manage, mentor, and train the team. Other duties as assigned. We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have: Multifamily and HUD closing experience required. Strong math and calculation skills. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and strong interpersonal skills. 5+ years of experience in a similar position. High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.
