About The Position

The Senior Clinician – Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is a leadership–clinical hybrid role that combines direct speech therapy services with leadership, mentorship, and operational support. This role works closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Services, clinical leadership, HR, and operations to support high-quality service delivery, clinician success, and compliance across assigned campuses. This position includes both clinical responsibilities and leadership duties that support departmental operations, clinician development, and service quality. Leadership and operational responsibilities are incorporated into the salaried structure.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Speech Language License.
  • Strong understanding of special education processes, including ARD/IEP participation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an active speech-language caseload within school-based settings.
  • Provide speech therapy services and address compensatory service needs when required.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and complete evaluation reports.
  • Provide recommendations for speech services within the IEP process.
  • Attend ARD/IEP meetings and collaborate with campus teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
  • Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when applicable.
  • Support clinicians with caseload management and service distribution.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and real-time support to team members.
  • Facilitate department meetings to support collaboration and case consultation.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new clinicians.
  • Participate in interviews and provide feedback for performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with leadership on evaluation timelines and service delivery needs.
  • Assist with evaluator scheduling and coverage during staffing changes.
  • Monitor documentation and billing activity to ensure compliance and accuracy..
  • Identify workflow barriers and partner with leadership to resolve operational challenges
