About The Position

This role delivers front-line clinical and technical support for both manual and robotic (Mako SmartRobotics™) procedures (based on territory needs). You’ll train surgeons and Operating Room staff, guide intra-operative activities, and ensure products and technology are used safely and effectively. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll drive exceptional clinical outcomes through pre-operative planning, technical troubleshooting, inventory and case management, and confident Operating Room presence. The role also includes account administration, cross-functional collaboration, continuing education, and alignment with the sales team to support overall territory success. On-call coverage—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—is required to meet urgent technical needs and maintain seamless customer support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years of professional/related experience OR
  • Associate degree + 6 years of professional/related experience OR
  • High school diploma + 8 years of professional/related experience.
  • Trained on all clinical applications based on clinical needs of the territory.
  • Continuing education required; annual Mako recertifications based on territory needs.
  • This position requires the handling of instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or bodily fluids. In compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Stryker will provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to manage stressful OR situations with professionalism and focus
  • Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver front-line clinical and technical support across manual and robotic procedures, training surgeons and staff on product use, best practices, and Operating Room workflow.
  • Conduct re-education sessions and guide setup, breakdown, and intra-operative activities to ensure optimal use of products and robotic systems.
  • Prepare pre-operative CT scans for implant planning, sizing, and positioning to support precise surgical outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot technical and product-related challenges, providing confident, timely solutions to surgeons and Operating Room teams.
  • Coordinate daily account and case operations including inventory, instrumentation, case preparation, and documentation.
  • Manage account administration tasks—updates, billing, closures—using designated applications to maintain seamless operations.
  • Maintain required trainings and certifications, including Mako recertifications, based on territory clinical needs.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities and collaborate closely with clinical, sales, and operations partners.
  • Partner with sales teams to support customer needs, strengthen relationships, and align on strategies that enhance clinical and commercial success.
  • Provide on-call coverage (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed to address urgent clinical or technical issues.
