About The Position

The Senior Clinical Secretary in the Hematology/Oncology Department at Dartmouth Hitchcock-Keene is responsible for scheduling procedures and appointments based on information received from various sources. This role involves scheduling patients for same-day inpatient procedures, ordering appropriate blood work, and coordinating lab testing, ancillary services, physician appointments, as well as ICD and pacemaker appointments. The position also includes coordinating inpatient transfers and admissions, and may involve inputting and editing the master schedule.

Requirements

  • Associates degree with 1 year of experience in a fast-paced hospital setting, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Familiarity with word processing techniques and medical terminology.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule procedures and appointments for patients.
  • Order appropriate blood work for scheduled procedures.
  • Coordinate lab testing and ancillary services.
  • Schedule physician appointments, including ICD and pacemaker appointments.
  • Manage inpatient transfers and admissions.

Benefits

  • Maximum Pay: $29.04
