About The Position

The American College of Radiology [http://www.acr.org/] is a professional association serving over 40,000 members across the United States. Consistent with the ACR’s mission to advance the practice of radiology and improve the health outcomes of the populations we serve, the ACR’s Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) has been a world leader in radiology clinical research for over 50 years. Over this period, the CRI has conducted clinical research trials and other research projects that have transformed the practice of radiology, informed the development of clinical practice standards, led to new device approvals, and changed healthcare policy. The CRI serves as the core radiology resource for NCI multicenter clinical trials involving diagnostic or therapeutic radiology. And, through active research committees in neuroradiology, cardiology, oncology, and pediatrics, the CRI has developed and delivered a diverse range of research studies in partnerships with academia and commercial sponsors. Research studies range from prospective clinical trials to retrospective reader studies, clinical and imaging registries, novel imaging methods and imaging software, validation of biomarkers, radiomic feature analysis, and AI algorithm development and validation. Based on these strategic objectives, ACR is seeking a Senior Clinical Project Manager to provide support to ACR study initiatives across the College. As a member of the ACR team, you will:

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience. Experience managing CRO/clinical research projects to successful completion required.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is imperative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage changing priorities, are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior oncology research experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Multi-Project Programs: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex clinical initiatives, collaborating with principal investigators, sponsors, and vendors to execute strategic project plans that meet study objectives.
  • Accelerate Site Activation: Partner closely with research site staff to streamline activation activities and ensure operational readiness for all assigned clinical projects.
  • Design Clinical Frameworks: Collaborate with researchers to develop high-level trial project plans, radiation treatment manuals, and independent review charters to support study design and development.
  • Strategize Funding & Proposals: Lead the development of grant applications and business proposals, coordinating cross-functional input to secure funding and meet critical deliverables.
  • Optimize Matrix Team Performance: Maximize team productivity and work quality by effectively managing resources, balancing competing priorities, and ensuring strict adherence to project timelines.
  • Champion Quality & Compliance: Ensure all clinical activities and documentation maintain rigorous compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
  • Deliver Executive Insights: Synthesize complex project data into actionable reports for leadership to track progress against organizational goals.
