Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, pathology board certification (i.e., ACVP or ECVP).
  • 4-10 years of experience supporting pharmaceutical product R&D or registration efforts.
  • Understanding of GMP/GLP/GCP regulations.
  • Ability to determine strategies related to developing service offerings and consultation in clinical pathology and biomarker services.
  • Ability to ensure quality and integrity of the scientific services are maintained by clinical pathology labs across Inotiv.
  • Effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies, safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership and identify strategic growth opportunities through expansion of internal clinical pathology and biomarker services.
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality, on-time, and cost-effective services to clients.
  • Coordinate with Corporate and Pathology leadership in all science-related issues and strategic planning for Clinical Pathology and biomarker services and functions.
  • Manage/mentor clinical pathology group and provide regular reviews for direct reporting staff.
  • Coordinate and monitor study-specific activities to be performed by clinical pathology and/or biomarker personnel.
  • Recruit and hire additional Clinical Pathologists as needed.
  • Represent the company through meeting or conference attendance, client visits and communication, and other professional activities.
  • Review staff reports to ensure their work consistently meets quality standards.
  • Available for occasional business travel (~0.5-1x/month).
  • Provide assistance or support to other Inotiv sites and other duties as assigned.
