About The Position

In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of clinical documentation. Your efforts will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while actively participating in quality improvement initiatives. You'll utilize your clinical knowledge to assess the accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes, providing ongoing training to healthcare staff. This position emphasizes collaboration with healthcare providers to obtain precise documentation and improve overall clinical documentation practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of clinical documentation specialist experience.
  • 5+ years of acute clinical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills; proficient in multiple software programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of pathophysiology, disease processes, and treatments.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to clinical documentation.
