About The Position

The Senior Construction Claim Consultant provides claim technical, strategic, and advocacy services designed to optimize claim outcomes. Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity

Requirements

  • Experience with construction exposures/claims, including jurisdictional variables impacting worker’s compensation exposures.
  • Experience with cost containment strategies and return-to-work programs.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction worker’s compensation claims
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance brokerage experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Key member of account service teams managing a book of designated construction clients as the Senior Claim Consultant.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Oversight management of claim service provider(s).
  • Advocate for timely, optimal resolution of claims, including escalation/negotiation with claim service providers on disputed claims.
  • Communicate pertinent claim information timely to clients and colleagues.
  • Conduct/Coordinate periodic claim file reviews with emphasis on quality standards, reserve accuracy and disposition strategy.
  • Provide consultative services/training to clients, including best practices for claim management and litigation management.
  • Develop and negotiate claim service instructions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national level contacts at insurance markets, TPAs, legal resources, consultants, and other claim-related vendors.
  • Participate in client renewal strategy meetings.
  • Advisory/Consult on significant court decisions, legislative changes and other developments impacting construction risk within designated jurisdiction(s).
  • Support production teams on new business opportunities including RFP response and new business presentations.
