About The Position

The Senior Claims Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in connecting claims business operations with technology solutions to optimize efficiency, compliance, and scalability. This role translates complex business requirements into technical specifications, leads system enhancements, and ensures seamless integration across claims platforms and enterprise systems. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, the analyst drives user acceptance testing, delivers end-user training, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Remote collaboration, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of business systems analysis experience, preferably in insurance or claims operations.
  • 5+ years of experience with software development lifecycle, UAT, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation claims processes, regulatory requirements, and insurance claims management systems.
  • Experience with API integrations, digital mailroom solutions, and document management systems.
  • Advanced skills in requirements documentation, process design, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with agile development tools and project management platforms; prior experience with Origami Risk is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and translate detailed system requirements for the core claims platform and integrated enterprise systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between claims business units, enterprise technology teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Design, implement, and maintain API integrations, workflows, and system enhancements to improve claims operations.
  • Lead and execute comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) for system features and enhancements, tracking issues to resolution.
  • Deliver end-user training, create supporting documentation, and support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of technology solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for claims applications, providing guidance and support throughout project lifecycles.
