Key statistics: 950+ Consultants 640+ Ph.D.s 90+ Disciplines 30+ Offices globally Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice in Houston, TX. In this role you will work as part of a team to perform field investigations and diagnostic surveys, perform structural analysis, review structural designs, assess structural risk, and maintain client relations. Assignments will require the ability to gather information from and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related engineering field is strongly preferred, but a M.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience will also be considered
  • P.E. or S.E. License in at least one state is required
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of structure and building performance problems
  • Reviewing the design of structures according to applicable codes and standards
  • Conducting computer analysis of structural systems
  • Performing field investigations and diagnostic surveys
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations
  • Continued professional development towards establishing professional expertise
