About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Senior Civil Rights Investigator and Trainer - Boca Raton, FL. The Senior Civil Rights Investigator and Trainer is responsible for the university's compliance with civil rights laws and regulations. The Senior Civil Rights Investigator and Trainer serves as part of a team that investigates reports and complaints of civil rights discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, pursuant to Florida Atlantic University Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment regulation and policy. The position supports the university compliance in ensuring faculty, staff, and students understand their rights and where applicable, their responsibilities under civil rights laws, regulations, and policies. The position will be responsible for interpreting equal opportunity/affirmative action administrative laws and rules, civil rights laws and policies and training the university community regarding anti-discrimination and anti-harassment. Assists and collaborates with university administrators and interinstitutional groups in resolving specific discrimination and harassment problems and in disseminating information in regard to SUS/university rules, and policies. Designs, develops, and conducts special studies and trainings in the areas of equal opportunity/affirmative action. Collects and analyzes data as appropriate. May serve as liaison between the university and other organizations and governmental agencies involved in equal opportunity/affirmative action programs.
