Michael Baker International's well-established and very successful Transportation Practice in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Manager! Develop targeted client service action plans with Southern California Transportation Practice Leaders. Lead a team of engineers and designers in roadway, highway, and freeway improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies in California. Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Cultivate and maintain client relationships, lead proposal development, and participate in interviews. Provide technical mentorship and actively participate in professional organizations. Develop trusted adviser relationships with key transportation clients. Handle client relationships and guide the application of Michael Baker International services. Ensure successful contracting and project execution.

  • Develop targeted client service action plans with Southern California Transportation Practice Leaders.
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in roadway, highway, and freeway improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies in California.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Ensure successful contracting and project execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of Transportation/Public Works experience with increasing levels of responsibility and may also have design-build experience
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues and key players in the California transportation market.
  • Relationships with City, County and State agencies
  • Demonstrated supervisor and mentoring skills
  • Strong proposal writing and presentation skills are required
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit to help grow our Transportation practice
