About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Senior Civil Project Manager / Development Client Manager to join our talented Civil team! This position requires a client-centric leader who excels at responsiveness to clients and internal teams, proactive problem-solving, compelling communication, and maintaining project schedules. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple projects for a variety of clients across numerous sectors and regions. The selected candidate will maintain close relationships with clients throughout the development of projects and after completion, and will be responsible for recruiting, managing, mentoring, and collaborating with staff to provide a positive team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field of study.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona.
  • Experienced with design, construction, and project management of development and municipal projects.
  • Experience in client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years previous experience.
  • Previous experience in industrial/commercial development.
  • Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff.
  • Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state, or national Civil Engineering societies and associations.
  • Registered NCEES with the ability to get licensed in New Mexico, Colorado, or other states if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for a variety of clients across numerous sectors and regions.
  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout the development of projects and after completion.
  • Recruit, manage, mentor, and collaborate with staff as needed to provide a positive team environment.
  • Respond to RFQs and prepare project approaches, scopes, and fees required to complete projects.
  • Present proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams.
  • Determine major project design decisions in conjunction with clients.
  • Understand market needs and trends to identify and act on opportunities to win work.
  • Represent SEH with local governments, municipalities, and industry events.
