About The Position

This position will Lead civil design for studies, basic and detailed engineering for mineral and chemical processing plants for the recovery of base and precious metals. Will also provide project management support for design and construction projects. At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct and Safety Guidelines. Provide civil engineering services as part of a highly integrated engineering team for the completion of studies and detailed engineering. Review and interpret client provided data develop civil and structural designs perform calculations and material take-offs. Perform calculations and design using both computer-aided and manual design techniques. Prepare civil design criteria Support trade-off studies and reports. Provide civil engineering support for projects in the basic and detailed engineering phases. Review of procurement specifications. Review of vendor submittals. Review of value engineering proposals. Assist in project management and business development efforts, including preparation of proposals and review of client requirements. Provide input to project progress reports.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• 10+ years of experience in the mining industry.
• Experience with structural engineering.
• Experience with site plans and surveying.
• Experience with water supply systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with material take-off calculations.
• Experience in cost estimating.
• Experience with Ni-43-101 reports.
