About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Civil Engineer with seven (7) to twelve (12) years of experience providing comprehensive civil engineering services, from initial feasibility through design, permitting and construction support for our Bay Area office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun. We are looking for people who work effectively with all personality types, are interested in developing close relationships with our great clients, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry. The position will involve a mix of technical design and consulting, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing. We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Current registration as an EIT, required
  • 7 to 12 years of experience in civil design, permitting and construction administration in a variety of market sectors related to site development
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; and preparation of public improvement, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility plans
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to think critically and solve problems
  • The motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career
  • Excellent time management skills
