Senior Civil Engineer
About The Position
You will work across the transportation and energy sectors and beyond, supporting projects within railways, highways, metros, marine, wind, and more. Lead engineering teams, mentoring junior staff and coordinating technical work. Solve complex design challenges, delivering calculations, drawings, and cost estimates. Plan projects (budgets, schedules) and ensure compliance with codes/standards. Optimize designs through technical/financial analysis and site inspections. Produce critical documentation (specs, reports) and liaise with clients/stakeholders. Oversee quality control, from feasibility studies to final deliverables. Implement innovative solutions in transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Hold bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years in Civil Design and Project Management
- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Stormwater Management, Site Layouts, Grading, Drainage, Utility Design, as well as Sediment and Erosion Control
- Experience with Engineering Calculations
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD
- Knowledge of NYC public agency processes (NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCEDC, NYCDEP) and private utility companies.
