We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to be the head of their Civil Engineering division. This is a supervisory position where you will work with clients and lead a team of Engineers to execute a variety of agricultural, industrial, commercial and residential projects. As a supervisor, you will have day to day responsibilities for your engineering team. This includes: Provide Mentoring to Junior Engineers Planning work schedule Assigning work duties Reviewing work products Performing performance reviews The ideal candidate would be familiar with the following: Collaborating with other engineering and architects in the execution of a multi-disciplined project scope California Building Code ADA standards for street right of ways and through building sites Low Impact Development Standards Hydrology and Storm Drain design Sanitary Sewer system design Domestic and Fire Water system design Septic System design FEMA Floodplain requirements Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook The ability to produce technical reports Ability to Self-manage time and priorities Working knowledge basic steel and concrete design principles Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3d The principles of site grading and drainage design The ideal candidate should be proficient in: Preparing Technical Studies in support of Land Development projects AutoCAD Civil 3d grading and pipe design tools Familiar with project entitlements and regulatory requirements in the State of California, County of Kern. Design of Concrete foundations and other minor structures

  • 10 to 15 years of overall Civil Engineering Experience, with at least 5 in Project Management of Land Development projects.
  • A current Professional Civil Engineering License in the State of California, or the ability to obtain a license within 1 year.
  • Ability to frequently move about inside the office.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in varying temperature conditions.
  • Must be able to move items up to 50 lbs.
