We seek Senior Civil Engineer (Lead Instructor) | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0010009] candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as DOI. Requirements

  • BSCE required; MS preferred; PE license required (any state, ability to obtain reciprocity).
  • 10+ years civil/water resources focused on Dams/canals/reservoirs; prior federal owner/operator or consultant experience; familiarity with DOI SOD frameworks; past training or technical facilitation experience.
  • This position aligns with functional and technical requirements in the Government And Public Services Sector and Senior Civil Engineer (Lead Instructor) Candidates principally support Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Disciplines.
  • Skills Required Primarily focused on Management and Financial Consulting, Acquisition and Grants Management Support, and Business Program and Project Management Services initiatives and aligned with Training activities Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum Functional Area Activities.
  • Hydraulics/hydrology basics, outlet/spillway operations, inspection documentation, drawing reading, redlining, technical writing, public speaking.

  • Due to the sensitive nature of our work, the individuals who will be actively completing work on this contract or reviewing documents related to our operations must either be cleared (Secret Fcl / Top Secret Fcl) or be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
  • All personnel must possess an active Secret clearance with eligibility for Interim TS/SCI or a full TS/SCI clearance in DISS at the time of proposal submission and maintain it throughout the contract.
  • Compliance with FAR 52.204-2 and DoD security requirements (DD Form 254, DD Form 441, and DoD 5220.22-M) is mandatory.
  • Employees denied a Top Secret clearance after receiving an Interim TS will be restricted from contract duties, but this does not relieve ProSidian from performance obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise on dam operations, spillways, and outlet works.
  • Develops and reviews training materials on dam fundamentals, inspection techniques, and maintenance best practices.
  • Ensures technical accuracy and compliance with DOI Safety of Dams standards.
  • Transforms Dam O&M principles into practical training modules that operators can apply the next day.
  • Author classroom modules on Dam funDamentals, spillways/outlets, O&M best practices; support field practicum checklists; review site-specific appendices; mentor junior staff; contribute to instrumentation overviews; technical QA/QC of slides and workbooks.
  • Leads whiteboard ‘how it works’ sessions and operator Q&A during modules.
  • Coordinates with Geotech and Hydrology SMEs to align potential failure modes content with operations guidance.
