About The Position

AECOM's Transportation business line has a position available in Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ for a Civil Engineer with Highway Design experience. This candidate must be very familiar with NJTA and NJDOT design standards and will be responsible for preparation of construction documents for transportation projects. Design work will include Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design, and Final Design. This is a hybrid-role requiring in-office presence 3 days/week.
The individual in this role will be entrusted with critical responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus six years of related experience an/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• NJDOT Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with NJTA and NJDOT Design Standards and Procedures, including perparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate Submission for agencies.
• Proficient in MicroStation V8i software, Bentley OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway/transportation-related designs required for new or rehabilitation roadway projects
• Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals/presentations, manage project tasks, manage projects, and meet with regulatory agencies
• Project Engineering responsibilities related to project communication, schedule, budget and progress on various concurrent tasks
• Assist in local marketing efforts, including proposal preparation and participation in professional societies.
